As a new employee, you’ll be eligible for health benefits the first day of the month following 30 days of employment. Adoption Assistance

We know how important family is, so we want to make it easier for you to grow yours. Through our Nestle Adoption Assistance program, Nestle Waters North America provides financial assistance to our employees looking to adopt children. Qualified participants are eligible for a maximum benefit of $5,000 (after taxes) and up to $6,000 for children with special needs. Other expenses covered include:

  • Agency adoption fees
  • Legal and court fees
  • Placement fees
  • Medical expenses

Parent Support Policy

Nestlé proudly announced at the beginning of 2016, a new Parent Support Policy for Nestlé in the United States. This new policy is among the most progressive in the Food & Beverage industry and shows our ongoing commitment to being a family-friendly employer. Nestlé is committed to providing a supportive environment for new parents and recognizes that both mothers and fathers share the responsibilities of caring for a newborn child. To offer support to our new parents, the policy has four key components available for eligible employees:

  • Caregiver Leave: Up to twenty-six weeks of unpaid leave for an employee who is designated as the ongoing Primary Caregiver of a newborn child under six months of age
  • Infant Nutrition & Bonding Support: Company-paid supplemental income for up to fourteen weeks for the designated Primary Caregiver immediately following the birth, adoption or foster care placement of a newborn child under six months of age upon exhausting the ongoing Primary Caregiver’s paid leave benefits.
  • Phased Return: At participating locations, the option to return to work on a reduced work schedule in the final eight weeks of the Caregiver Leave period.
  • Parental Leave: One week paid Parental Leave following the birth, adoption or foster care placement of a child within the first six months of the birth, adoption or foster care placement. An employee is not required to be the designated Primary Caregiver to receive Parental Leave.
