How has your military experience set you up for success in your role at Nestlé Waters?
It taught me discipline, which I was lacking. It also taught me to be flexible and adopt to changes at any time the military taught me to be patient, which was the hardest thing for me to do. I would not have succeeded at Nestlé had it not been for the military.
What values and qualities embraced at Nestlé Waters are similar to the values instilled in you during your military service?
Courtesy is similar because you are showing respect to your chain of command as well as your fellow soldiers, just like we do here at Nestlé. When it comes to leadership and all of our customers, treating others how you wish to be treated is a core value.
What resources and support did Nestlé Waters provide to help you transition into the workforce after your service?
They provided leadership in the form of being patient with me and the mistakes that I was making in the beginning. My Beginning the Journey (BTJ) orientation and on-boarding was great because I learned a great deal about the company when I got here. They gave me the proper equipment to be safe while on route.
What advice would you give to veterans applying to a job at NWNA?
I would tell them that Nestlé Waters is a stable company to work for and just like the military, your leaders will equip you to succeed at any level. The benefits are great as well as meeting new people.
Why do you like working for NWNA?
Nestlé has provided my family a roof over our head, food in our bellies and almost 20 years of stability. I have been able to meet a lot of people over the years and hopefully provided good service to my customers thanks to Nestlé.
